More an extensive database than a real app is CineLenses from the same manufacturer.
The user will find here in a handy format a huge selection of different lenses for any use of many known (and unknown) manufacturers and the corresponding, very extensive specifications.
The collection is initially divided into spherical and anamorphic lenses, as well as a selection step further to Primes, Zooms, Teles, Macros, Fish-Eyes, etc.
If you want to find out about a particular lens, you first click through the individual criteria and thus get to to the manufacturers and from there to the respective product. In addition to a picture of the lens and basic information, it displays an extensive list of focus areas, focal lengths, T-stops, weight, length, year of manufacture and mount.
A small button next to each lens allows you to add the product to a shopping / wish list that you can share, for example, with your camera assi or producer (to make him laugh heartily and say which lenses you do not, for budgetary reasons gets).
A useful add-on feature is the affiliate database of lenders, which can sometimes be very useful in foreign countries, but (who would have thought it) is designed for the United States.
For Germany one finds only a single lender.
For $ 9, CineLenses offers a wide range of lenses with helpful production planning information. Whether you really need this app at the filming location, is once an open question.
Those who prefer to work on the PC, get the same features for free on the website of the manufacturer.
